"Blessed are they who mourn for they will be comforted." Matthew 5:4 NIV The death of a loved one results in many tangible and intangible emotions. Some of which are felt immediately after a death, others days, weeks, months, or even years later--especially during the holidays, and anniversary dates. When a loved one transitions, his or her survivors must adapt to a new "normal." To grieve, is not a sign of a lack of faith or weakness. It is a sign of love. There is no right or wrong way to grieve nor is there a time limit for how long grief should last.

Mission:
The mission of the People’s Community Baptist Church Men’s Fellowship Ministry is to encourage Christian spiritual growth among men in the church by offering ongoing activities for men and boys that promote growth in Christian discipleship.

Fosters connections and support among church families, creating a strong, unified community. 

The People’s Community Baptist Church Men’s Rites of Passage is a three-year program designed to provide a faith-based mentoring experience for young teenage boys and incorporates the knowledge of belief in God, self, and community so that program graduates can make positive contributions to their culture, community, church, organizations, and our future as Americans. The program helps to instill spiritual, personal, educational, social, economic, physical/health/wellness and historical/cultural knowledge that are essential to the development of a positive self-image and the faith required for young boys to become the men God intended them to be.
