Meet Our Pastor: Dr. Haywood A. Robinson, III

Dr. Haywood A. Robinson, III, a native of Lynchburg, Virginia, began his walk with Christ as a teenager under the pastoral guidance of his father, Dr. Haywood Robinson, Jr. After a brief career in public education, he answered God’s call to the Gospel Ministry, being licensed and ordained at the Round Oak Missionary Baptist Church in Silver Spring, Maryland.

  • Served as an evangelist, counselor, psalmist, and teacher.
  • Pastored Calvary Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD, for sixteen years.
  • Since 2005, shepherding The People’s Community Baptist Church in Silver Spring, MD.

Core Beliefs

Pastor Robinson believes the church’s core mission is to make disciples, marked by L.I.F.E. (Love, Integrity, Faith & Exaltation). His ministry is Bible-Based, Christ-Centered, and Kingdom-Focused, extending across the United States and continents like Africa, Asia, and South America.

Family Life

Dr. Robinson and his wife, Renee, reside in Laurel, Maryland, blessed with three adult children and two grandchildren. He enjoys the respect of his congregation, community, and colleagues, and is humbled by the privilege to serve.
